How To Use This Website:

You can toggle between viewing Imports (map), Exports (map), and Compare (scatter plot) by using the toggle at the top of the page.
At the bottom of the page is a year selector. Click on different years to toggle between them.
For both the maps (Imports, Exports) and the scatter plot (Compare), you can hover over individual countries to see a brief overview.

Imports and Exports can be displayed by either logarithmic or linear scaling. The scaling can be changed by the Trade Scale toggle on the right.
All countries in a given continent, corresponding to the colors of the circles, can be hidden or viewed by checking or unchecking the box next to
the continent name.
Also note that the size of the circles, corresponding to GDP, is log-scaled. This is not interactable, as most countries would be unviewably small.

You may also click on a country (or circle representing a country). This will pop out a sidebar which will show more details on the
trade of the country you have selected.

The slices of the pie represent categories of trade. Hover over a slice to see which trade category that slice represents.
Click on a pie slice to select it. A breakdown of the commodities within that category will appear below the pie chart.

If you selected a country while viewing the scatter plot (Compare), you will also see the ratio of exports to imports for the selected country for
the selected year.
There is a toggle at the top of the sidebar for switching between the units US Dollars and Weight in Kilograms for quantity of the trade categories
shown in the pie chart.
You can also click on a pie slice to see information on the specific commodities within that commodity type.

This breakdown of commodities shows the top five commodities within the selected category.
The unit for this bar chart is the same as the unit for the pie chart - the toggle at the top of the sidebar shows the unit for both.
